Our story
Despite all water purification technologies available worldwide, more than half of the global population still lacks access to affordable clean water. While solutions are out there, there has been a missing link in connecting technology with real impact on people's lives. Our foudning team, engineers at heart, were frustrated.
Fueled by the desire to create a positive change, we developed an advanced membrane manufacturing process, to make the most efficient and accessible water filter out there. However, we quickly realized that technology alone wasn't the answer. This realization inspired us to embrace collaboration with local communities.
Our strategy - investing in small-scale entrepreneurs!
Openversum collaborates closely with local communities to develop sustainable employment opportunities and cultivate expertise in water management. Our innovative microfranchising initiative, supported by our cutting-edge ERP system known as the microfranchising digital twin, empowers female entrepreneurs to assemble, market, and maintain our water filtration systems. This not only helps them establish a social enterprise but also enhances the well-being of the communities they serve.
Together, we transformed the filter into an easy-to-use, locally-produced solution. Drawing from community feedback, we crafted a unique model that empowers local entrepreneurs to take control of water access, creatingmeaningful employment and opportunities.
